The Lifeline schools’ management team organised an outing for students in our Primary, Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary schools.
The event took place at Grafton playground and recreational centre where over 500 students present with their parents and teachers all together had fun.
Before the outing, the school administration conducted an insightful mental health awareness session, together with a representative from ARMeD Victims, SL Mental Health, headed by Lucy Cicilia Lamin, the session providing helpful information for students, even the teachers, due to the general lack or limited awareness about mental health – it was interesting to even discuss the difference between mental health and mental illness, something about which many people have very little knowledge.
The schools’ management is facing some challenges at present, including:
- limited access to bulk printing, for exams and reports
- poor internet connectivity, hindering administrative work
- national examination disruptions affecting student readiness and morale.
