The PAPAYA Project : Using Community Engagement and Involvement – CEI

LNP remains committed to solving community problems through our Community Engagement and Involvement which cut across LNP’s intervention. In one of its PAPAYA programs, in May, together with our partners, we conducted a highly impactful awareness campaign focusing on high blood pressure, preeclampsia and eclampsia, all conditions identified as significant health issues in the communities we serve.
The event, held on May 22nd, attracted over 100 attendees, including pregnant women and girls, local community stakeholders, health workers, the LNP team, and our partners from Welbodi.
The various activities included blood pressure checks, health education sessions, drama performances, a screening of Nema’s Choice (a Sierra Leone production highlighting the advantages of properly addressing preeclampsia and eclampsia, and the alternate risks involved), all followed by a Q&A session.
