EDUCATION: Investing in Young People

Lifeline Nehemiah Schools

Education remains a cornerstone of our mission as we continue to build brighter futures through our Nursery, Primary, Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools, serving children and young people across in the Kuntorloh, Wellington, Freetown and Punduru village, Kenema District.
Recently, in both regions, anticipation has been high as the students prepared to take the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), which started on June 25th.
Our school management teams, teachers, and the associated parents worked diligently to support the young learners, both academically and emotionally, as they approached this significant milestone on their journey into the future.

Lifeline Betteh Tumara Technical & Vocational Institute

At the BT Institute, we are continuing to tackle the high level of youth unemployment head on, through practical training in 4 technical, vocational disciplines: Electrical Installation, Plumbing, Information & Communication Technology (ICT) and Hospitality.

As we continue to focus on equipping young Sierra Leoneans with employable skills, during the past month we have concentrated on sending the current cohort of trainees out on their internship sessions, placing them with trusted companies and institutions across several regions, including Western Urban, Western Rural, Kenema, Moyamba.

These internships not only offer practical, hands-on work experience but also build confidence, professionalism and purpose.
The various photos here show different groups of the trainees ready for action or already engaged on their internships.
