In partnership with Welbodi Partnership and King’s College London, these interventions supported over 100 pregnant women attending Antenatal Education (ANC) campaigns, addressing misconceptions about pre-eclampsia, high blood pressure and eclampsia, resulting in increased ANC attendance and reduced maternal and neonatal mortality.
Community Engagement
Regular community sensitisation addresses the many myths surrounding pregnancy, the traditional beliefs affecting ANC attendance, and the misconceptions surrounding pre-eclampsia – distractions and deceptions resulting from the influence of traditional beliefs embedded in traditional religious practices.
