
This back-to-school season, 82 mentees of the 2YoungLives program have received bursaries to support them in taking significant steps towards their futures.
Among those who qualified for bursaries, some opted for vocational training, equipping themselves with practical skills for immediate employment, whilst others opted to pursue business studies.
Unfortunately, a few of the girls were unable to enrol in traditional schooling due to their learning disabilities but, undeterred, they are exploring alternative pathways to achieve their goals.
In academic achievements we are delighted to announce that Mangenda has successfully defended her PhD thesis with high distinction, earning an ‘A’ grade, added to which her outstanding performance has garnered an invitation for her to serve as a lecturer in the Sociology Department at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.
