Lifeline’s leadership in Sierra Leone, with support from partners, has taken key steps in response to these ongoing violations.
The matter has been escalated to the Office of the President of Sierra Leone, which has now instructed the Inspector General of Police to investigate the matter, and the Independent Police Complaints Board has already engaged the majority of the Lifeline complainants.
As we continue praying for justice, and for God to expose corruption and wrongdoing in our nation, at present the case remains before Justice Hanna Bonnie at the High Court.
One of the funders for the building project on the Lifeline field, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has also proposed visiting the site to engage with the Ministry of Social Welfare, the Kuntorloh community, the potential beneficiaries, and Lifeline.
