2YoungLives Concludes Mini Conferences with Community Flair
The 2YoungLives team has wrapped up its series of mini conferences across various sites, with a standout event in Punduru, which drew significant community engagement.
The event saw enthusiastic participation in early morning exercises, a packed talent night and a thrilling, comic football match between 2YoungLives mentors and elderly women from the Punduru community.
The conferences featured training for teachers in mentoring pupils, particularly focusing on pregnant or lactating girls, and on the significance and importance of the Anti-Child Marriage Act in Sierra Leone.
Following their return to Freetown, the team was invited by the Sierra Leone Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (SLANGO) to participate in a health walk celebrating NGO Week in Sierra Leone.
This followed as a result of LNP being recognised as the best NGO for empowering young people, and provided a platform to showcase the impact the 2YoungLives project has made nationwide.
Here’s some photos from various times during the conference time and health walk session…
