The boys and girls residing at the Lifeline Nehemiah Home continue to receive care, guidance, and support from LNP leadership and our partners.
We are delighted to report that George Gbotu, Joel Thomas Karim and Abdul Sankoh have just finished sitting the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and, regardless of their results, plans are in place to support them through a gap year programme to enhance their personal and professional development.
Despite the significant challenges and human rights violations they have experienced, George, Joel, and Abdul have demonstrated remarkable courage, resilience and determination in preparing for and sitting their examinations – we are extremely proud of their perseverance!
Overall the children are doing well, with the exception of one of the Nehemiah girls who is currently receiving medical treatment and continues to be monitored closely.
Here you can see that the construction of an upper floor on the Nehemiah girls’ accommodation block is progressing gradually, in part seeking to combat the leakage issues, but also contributing to improved safety and potentially creating additional rooms or, even, enabling the setting up of a clinic facility in the future.
