Monitoring Trip: Strengthening Hope, Education & Resilience
The 2YoungLives team conducted monitoring visits across all 12 project sites to verify bursary applicants, follow up on beneficiaries and assess mentees’ businesses.
The visits highlighted inspiring stories of young mothers returning to school, caring for their babies and building livelihoods through business start-up support, and, at several sites, different mentees shared powerful testimonies of how the bursaries they had received had transformed their lives and renewed their hope for the future.
The team also distributed rain gear to staff and volunteers and promoted cholera prevention, hygiene and preparedness.
Despite heavy rains and other challenges, the commitment of mentors, co-ordinators and the mentees themselves continues to strengthen the impact of the 2YoungLives program.
