The continuing vision of the Betteh Tumara management team is to invest in the young people of Sierra Leone, the future generations, particularly those who are unemployed or vulnerable, and we offer vocational training in various areas, including Plumbing, Electrical Installation, Hospitality and ICT, and we currently have 150 students enrolled across those disciplines. The Betteh Tumara Management team successfully recruited 130 unemployed young people into this new academic year, with the training starting this month. Trainees have been recruited across the five vocational disciplines available: Hospitality, Electrical Installation, Plumbing, Motor Mechanics and Information & Communication Technology (ICT).
Since September 4th, when the Lifeline schools reopened after the holidays, the Schools Management team and the Community Teachers Association (CTA) have met together to discuss their plans and strategies to better cater for the pupils under their care, and also to discuss the various teaching and development strategies necessary for the 2023/2024 academic year.
